This is a "ten things about me" meme:

1. I have the same middle name as my paternal grandmother.

2. I collect shells, and I try to know all the scientific names of them. (I don't, but I try.) I love my shell collection.

3. I have a pet rock that I've had for about 20 years. He's very friendly and lucky. When my aunt gave him to me, she said, "A rock is the best kind of pet, because when you wake up in the morning, he's right there, and you say, "Good morning rock" and he just smiles back at you."

In retrospect, my aunt seems like she must have been a pretty quirky person, and I wish I'd been able to get to know her better.

I sometimes say "good morning, Rock" and he does smile back at me.

4. I'm extremely possessive of my food. My friends know it's a very bad idea to fuck with my plate, especially if I am still on the first few bites.

5. I recently earned my orange belt in karate.

6. I can sing, but I'm not trained in any particular style. I've been in school and church choirs, and was in a women's barbershop chorus for a while, which was all kinds of dorky fun.

7. I sneeze in the sun.

8. I was in a puppeteer troupe for 12 years. It was a ton of fun.

9. I have an associates degree in computer graphic design. A lot of good that does me!

10. I am a "dog person". Any time I meet a dog, I just go all squishy inside. I love them.
